Hey there, I'm Carl Cosby, and I'm excited to share my journey with you as I embark on a mission to represent the wonderful people of Kent North in New Brunswick. But before I dive into why I'm running, let me introduce you to the most important aspect of my life - my family.
As a husband to my amazing wife Kelsey, we're both deeply committed to serving our community in various capacities. Kelsey volunteers her time as a board member at the Kent Family Resource Centre, where she young families and children. She also dedicates her energy to the Kent Curling Club, where she spearheads learn-to-curl and children's programs, fostering a love for the sport in the next generation.
Our children are the heartbeat of our family, each with their own passions and pursuits. Ethan is a dedicated air cadet with Richibucto Squadron 773, where he's honing his leadership skills and serving his community with pride. Chloe, our spirited middle child, dreams of having a horse one day, but for now, she's fully immersed in her Jiu-Jitsu lessons, where she's learning discipline, resilience, and the importance of hard work. And then there's Madelyn, our youngest bundle of joy, eagerly anticipating joining her siblings at school in the fall.
Their dreams, aspirations, and the opportunities available to them shape my vision for New Brunswick. I want to ensure that every child in our province has the chance to thrive, pursue their passions, and build a bright future for themselves.
Transitioning from the corporate world to community-focused roles felt like a natural progression for me. Currently, I wear multiple hats within my community. As the President of Rexton Community Housing, I've been deeply involved in initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in our region. Additionally, I serve as an advisor for Rexton Senior Citizens Housing, where I've been privileged to contribute to the organization's expansion efforts, to construct a new addition to their facility that will hopefully bring in over 20 new affordable accommodations for seniors in need. Seeing the positive impact of these projects firsthand has been incredibly fulfilling.
